Chúng ta không thể sử dụng thì hiện tại hoàn thành chung với những cụm từ chỉ thời gian cụ thể như: yesterday, one year ago, last week, when I was a child, when I lived in Japan, at that moment, that day, one day, v.v.

  • I’ve broken my watch so I don’t know what time it is.

  • She’s taken my copy. I don’t have one.

  • The sales team has doubled its turnover.

  • We’ve already talked about that.

Chúng ta đã nói về việc đó.

  • She hasn’t arrived yet.

Cô ấy vẫn chưa đến.

  • I’ve just done it.

Tôi vừa làm việc đó.

  • They’ve already met.

  • They haven’t known yet.

Họ vẫn chưa biết.

  • Have you spoken to him yet?

  • Have they got back to you yet?

  • I have been a teacher for more than ten years.

Tôi dạy học đã hơn 10 năm.

  • We haven’t seen Janine since Friday.

  • – How long have you been at this school?
    – For 10 years/Since 2002.

  • Have you ever been to Argentina?

Anh đã từng đến Argentina chưa?

  • I think I have seen that movie before.

  • Has he ever talked to you about the problem?

Cấu trúc

Câu khẳng định

–  S+ have/has + V3 + (O)

* Ghi chú:

S: Chủ ngữ

V: Động từ

O: Tân ngữ

Ví dụ:

  • I have spoken to him.
  • I’ve been at this school for 10 years.

Câu phủ định

– S+ have not/has not + V3 + (O)

– S+ haven’t/hasn’t+ V3 + (O)

Ví dụ:

  • I haven’t spoken to him yet.
  • I haven’t ever been to Argentina.

Câu nghi vấn

– (Từ để hỏi) + have/has + S+ V3 + (O)?

Ví dụ:

  • Have you spoken to him yet?
  • How long have you been at this school?

E.g.
– I ‘ve lost my passport. ( = I can’t find my passport now).
– She ‘s (= she has) gone to bed.. ( = She is in bed now).
– We ‘ve bought a new car. ( = We have a new car now).

E.g. clean – have cleaned; finish – have finished
E.g. do – have done; see – have seen ……..

– The Chinese invented printing.
(không phải “have invented”)
– Shakespeare đã viết vở kịch Hamlet
(không phải “has written”)

E.g.
A: Ow! I’ve burnt myself! – Tôi bị phỏng rồi!
B: How did you do that? – Bạn làm sao vậy? (không phải “have you done”)
A: I touched a hot dish.

E.g.
– Tom lost his key yesterday. (không dung “has lost”) – Tom đã đánh mất chìa khoá ngày hôm qua.
– I ate a lot of sweets when I was a child.

– What time did they arrive?
(không dùng “have they arrived”)
Họ đã đến lúc nào?
– When were you born?
Cô sinh năm nào?

Hãy so sánh:
– Tom has lost his key.
– Tom lost his key yesterday (thì quá khứ đơn)

– I smoked 20 cigarettes yesterday.

*:
– Ian has lived in London for 6 years
Ian đã sống ở Luân Đôn 6 năm nay.
=> Bây giờ anh ta vẫn còn sống ở đó
– Ian lived in Scotland for 10 years.
Ian đã sống ở Scotland 10 năm.
=> Bây giờ anh ta không sống ở scotland nữa.
